“Left Behind in the High Country” meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Oak Room of the Sloop Medical Building at Cannon Memorial Hospital. This is a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, for more information contact Sandra Brock at 467-5379.

**July 2019**

July 20, 2019 – 10 am to 2 pm – The Riverwalk Quilt Guild will hold a Fabric Sale at the Avery County Senior Center, located at 165 Schultz Circle in Newland. Fabric will be on sale for $4/yard.

July 20, 2019 – 5 pm – The Hunters Helping Kids, Avery County Chapter, will host their annual Banquet at the Hugh Chapman Center of the Williams’ YMCA. CLICK HERE for more information

July 20, 2019 – 7:30 to 10:30 pm – The Avery County Humane Society will host the Beagle Boogie, cost is $5/single, $8/couple or $10/at the door, under 12 admitted free, all proceeds go to the ACHS, for more information CLICK HERE

July 23, 2019 – 4 pm to 6 pm – The Avery County Health Dept. will hold an Open House; Everyone invited to come and tour the facility and meet the staff, first 30 through the door will receive a special gift. CLICK HERE for more information
