“Left Behind in the High Country” meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Oak Room of the Sloop Medical Building at Cannon Memorial Hospital. This is a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, for more information contact Sandra Brock at 467-5379.

November 9 to December 7, 2020 – WREATH SALE – Blue Ridge Partnership for Children is holding a Wreath Sale to raise money to support the Imagination Library; you can purchase a Locally Made, Fraser Fir Wreath for $25, plain, or $30, with a bow. November 28, 2020 – 2 pm to 4 pm – The Blue Ridge Partnership for Children will hold a drive thru Letters to Santa even at the Church of Jesus Christ in Newland.
