“Left Behind in the High Country” meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Oak Room of the Sloop Medical Building at Cannon Memorial Hospital. This is a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, for more information contact Sandra Brock at 467-5379.

January 25, 2020 – 9 am – In Abingdon, Virginia, the Highlands Beekeepers Association is sponsoring a Beginner Beekeeper class, Saturday January 25, 2020 from 9 am till 3:30 pm at the Exit 14 Higher Education Center, Executive Auditorium. Cost is $35 ($20 for students with ID). Preregister at HighlandsBeekeepers.com or contact Phil Blevins, Washington County Extension Agent at 276-676-6309. Participants will receive a Beginner Beekeeper Book, PowerPoint notebook, Certificate of Completion, and one year membership in the Highlands Beekeeper Association.
